What is a visit to ZONA Med Spa like with the COVID-19 Guidelines?

We all know that 2020 has thrown us for a loop. As some states are starting to hunker down again with the rising volume of COVID cases, I wanted to remind everyone of the measures we are taking at ZONA to keep you and our staff protected during these uncertain times! ZONA is a safe (and sanitized) place to be, and we want everyone to feel comfortable when they come in for treatment. 


Yes, masks are still mandatory in our facility! Please keep your face covering on until instructed by your provider to remove your mask. We also have plexiglass shields on our reception desk to keep a safe distance from our front desk staff. 

Health Screening

Every guest is required to have their temperature checked and answer a health questionnaire prior to their treatments. We have a fantastic standing tablet that takes temperatures for us! We love the tablet because it’s a more efficient way to check people in, and it keeps our front desk staff a safe distance from you compared to using a temperature gun. The health questionnaire is simple and asks if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive. We are still treating healthcare professionals at this time! They need just as much love (if not more) than us! 


The Department of Health and Board of Cosmetology holds us to a high standard, but we are going above and beyond to make sure our office is as clean as it can be. Our lobby is being sanitized every 30 minutes, and treatment rooms are disinfected in between every patient. Every surface is bleached, including clipboards and pens. Appointment times have been extended to allow for cleaning time, and to keep as few people in the lobby as possible. 

We also have air purifiers in every room! Our air purifiers eliminate particles down to 0.1 microns (most HEPA filters can only eliminate particles down to 0.3!). Every air purifier removes allergens, dust, bacteria, and viruses for a 500 square foot space.

Staff Health

Just like our patients, every staff member must fill out a health questionnaire and have their temperature taken prior to their shift. We are required to wear our masks at all times. I personally sanitize my hands every time I touch something that isn’t mine!  

We understand now more than ever that people may not feel comfortable leaving their homes. Our cancellation and no show policy still stands but we are fairly understanding during these times. We hope everyone stays safe and well, and our doors are always open (and clean) for you!
