Versa

Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the primary active ingredient in most dermal fillers, is a naturally occurring substance that can be used cosmetically to correct moderate-to-severe wrinkles and folds in the skin. However, all dermal fillers are not created equal. VersaTM is a remarkably homogeneous filler due to the advanced wet milling technology and proprietary formula. This means that the particles are uniquely spherical and uniform, providing the perfect balance between smoothness and volume. Versa’s spherical particle shape is developed to be accepted by the body and breakdown slowly over time for long lasting results. For added longevity, VersaTM exclusively uses premium quality HA with a notably high molecular weight. In a recent study, another popular (HA) dermal filler was shown to produce swelling 24% more often than VersaTM. Lower rate of swelling means many patients are able to get back to their lives almost immediately after the treatment.

Where is it applied?

Cheeks: Loss of collagen, thinning of underlying fat, and decreasing bone volume can lead to a reduction of volume in the cheeks, giving a sunken appearance.

Nasolabial Folds (smile lines): Through volume loss and aging over time, the skin of our cheeks may drape over to become nasolabial folds (smile lines), creating a tired looking face with wrinkles between the nose and mouth.

Lips: As we age, our lips may lose shape and there can be an increase in small vertical lines around the mouth (perioral lines and marionette lines), while the corners sag (oral commissures).

How long does it last?

Results are instant and most clients will resume their normal activities after the procedure. Versa is a Hyaluronic acid (HA) product.  It can last up to 12 months.

Pre-Treatment Instructions

  • Do not consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising)
  • Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications for a period of 2 weeks before treatment. Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish oil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
  • Schedule your Dermal Filler and Botox appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event which you may be attending. Temporary bruising and or swelling may be apparent in that time period.
  • Discontinue Retin-A 2 days before and 2 days after treatment.
  • Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a cold sore or rash on your face.
  • Be sure to have a good breakfast, including food and drink before your procedure. This will decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment.
