Nasolabial Folds, also known as “smile lines” or “laugh lines”, are the two lines that that run from each side of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They are defined by facial structures that support the buccal fat pad and separate the cheeks from the upper lip. As we age and the skin becomes saggy and thinner, the folds tend to become more prominent. This is where filler comes in. Filler will quite literally fill in the wrinkles and folds while improving skin texture and flexibility. There are many dermal fillers are used to fill nasolabial folds and marionette lines. We will choose the right filler for you based on how deep your wrinkles are and your expected results.
Versa ($499/syringe): A Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based filler, Versa is a remarkably homogeneous filler due to the advanced wet milling technology and proprietary formula. This means that the particles are uniquely spherical and uniform, providing the perfect balance between smoothness and volume. Versa has also proven to cause less swelling than other fillers, specifically 24% less swelling in one study. Results are instant and most clients will resume their normal activities after the procedure. The product can last up to 12 months.
Restylane Refyne and Defyne ($800/syringe): Two of our newest dermal fillers, Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne are also hyaluronic acid fillers with more flexibility. The unique cross-linking of the gel in Restylane Refyne and Defyne is designed to help support your natural expression—for real-life results that help maintain natural movement when you’re smiling, frowning and even puckering up. Results can last up to 12 months however product placed around the mouth tend to dissolve faster.
Radiesse($700/syringe): The unique Radiesse formula provides a robust lift in the areas below deep wrinkles and folds, diminishing their appearance for a more refreshed look. Radiesse is smooth and gel-filled, with tiny calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. When injected, it adds immediate volume and correction while the microspheres act as a scaffold, stimulating your body to produce its own, natural collagen. Since Radiesse is not a Hyaluronic Acid Filler, it cannot be dissolved. With that said, Radiesse injections should only be performed by an experienced and highly skilled injector.
